LIFE SKILLS PROGRAMME
” As per the new evaluation pattern of CBSE, Life Skills is one of the key indicators in judging the overall performance of students.
The objective of the Life Skills programme is to develop these Life Skills – creative thinking, critical thinking, empathy, coping with stress, coping with emotions, interpersonal relationships, communication skills, decision making skills, self awareness and problem solving.
Life Skills are essentially individual abilities that help to promote mental well being and competence in young people when they face the realities of life.

The school aims to inculcate these skills by organizing various sessions. These sessions would be a mix of activities, role plays, interactive discussions and simulations. This programme helps to inculcate self discipline, resistance to peer pressure and positive attitude in children. It also helps in strengthening parent-child relationship.
GREEN INITIATIVE
At The Cambridge International School, every possible effort is made to make our students eco-sensitive. We believe that worldly success and achievements do not have to come at the cost of Mother Earth.
Towards this initiative, the school lays emphasis on natural resource management by undertaking various activities like eco friendly building (solar power panels), planting saplings (school nursery), use of natural manure (compost pit), recycling paper, segregating waste and conserving water & electricity.

Our Interactive Nature Club seeks to inculcate social consciousness through various projects which are taken up by students. The nature club aims to create awareness among their peers, parents and their neighborhood to understand the importance of a clean and green environment. Our paper recycling unit is a step in this direction to judiciously Reduce, Reuse & Recycle paper.
LEADERSHIP BUILDING
Involving students in leadership activities is one of the most practical and helpful strategies for gaining the cooperation of students and increasing the value that they place on schooling.
School parliaments provide an opportunity for students to participate in the running of their school and is a vehicle for them to express their opinions and participate actively in decision making.

Students work together, under the guidance of a senior staff member, to improve school life.
The chosen leaders along with their teams help in the day to day governance of the school by participating in the cleanliness drive, maintaining discipline during assemblies & dispersal and organizing class programmes.
PROMOTING CIVIC CONSCIOUSNESS
” We aim at making our students contribute to the world they live in.
The school has quality programmes wherein children will be made aware of civic issues like waste management, water management, better roads and public transport systems and how to deal with these issues. Regular guest lectures, field trips and projects are a part of the programme.
