An exciting journey through the human senses: TCIS Whitefield brings learning to life

At TCIS Whitefield, a premier CBSE K-12 school in East Bangalore we believe that learning should not be restricted to just a series of lessons. It should be an unforgettable adventure that leaves a lasting impression on young minds. Our unique teaching approach makes sure that children learn in a way that they never forget.

Recently, our Pre-primary class students took part in an amazing sensory adventure that perfectly reflected our teaching ethos. Through an exciting hands-on activity, our pre-primary students explored the wonders of the five senses- vision, hearing, touch, smell, and taste.

Students listened to different sounds like alarm clocks, toys and other objects. These sounds helped capture their attention and set the mood for a day full of sensory exploration. They further discovered the sense of touch by feeling different textures like the softness of cotton, the roughness of stones,  and the delicate feel of pompoms. Each texture gave them a new way to connect with what they were learning.

Next, they smelled the fresh and sweet aroma of blooming flowers. The sensory adventure continued with our pre-primary students exploring a range of flavours. They tasted the tangy zing of lemon, the sweetness of sugar, and the sharpness of salt. Each taste helped them understand how different flavours can make our taste buds react in surprising ways.

As a premier CBSE School in East Bangalore, TCIS Whitefield inspires our students to see the world with wonder and approach every challenge with excitement. Whether it’s through interactive activities or hands-on experiments, we ensure that our students not only gain knowledge but also create lasting memories that shape their journey of discovery.
