On 27th July 2024, TCIS-Whitefield, a CBSE School in Bangalore, hosted the 2nd edition of TCIS Technothon with much fanfare and excitement. The event’s theme, “Climate Action,” resonated deeply with the current global focus on environmental sustainability and technological innovation. 

This year’s Technothon saw over 370 students from 15 schools, ranging from Grades 3 to 12, come together to participate enthusiastically in a variety of events. Each activity was meticulously designed to challenge students to think critically and develop technological solutions to contemporary and future problems. 

The event featured many activities, including the Tech Scavenger Hunt and Tech Mindstorm, and 12 other technology-related competitions. Students eagerly shared their ideas and opinions on the latest technological advancements, showcased their technical skills in Scratch coding, and engaged in a thrilling Robotics race. The excitement was palpable as students raced their robots, demonstrating their programming and engineering skills. 

The quiz events were a highlight, with teams and the audience showing immense enthusiasm. The Stem Relay exemplified teamwork, with each member contributing their expertise to solve complex problems. Poster Impactors saw students creating innovative slogans, while Lego Lords and Tech Art allowed even the youngest participants to present their creative ideas on “Climate Action.” 

Throughout the day, students stretched their imaginations, working both individually and in teams to devise innovative solutions. Technothon was not just a competition but a platform for students to learn, collaborate, and envision a better world through technology.
